A glimpse inside the “Orthospaceship.”

We’ve encountered an unusual application of the “Wildfire Effect.” This isn’t your neighborhood arcade, midnight bowling center, or miniature glow-golf course. It’s something that…. well, quite frankly, will leave your mouth hung wide open!

Docked on the top floor of 9201 Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, is the “Orthospaceship”: the offices of Orthodontist, Dr. F. Isaac Hakim.

Yep. It’s an orthodontist’s office. Open wide!

Dr. Hakim has turned what would ordinarily be a sterile, boring ortho clinic into a unique design concept that kids (and adults!) of all ages find totally awesome.

It features, among other futuristic design elements, black-lit ceilings painted with spectacular images of the heavens (using Wildfire fixtures and paint, of course!)

“I was moving my office several years ago, and I wanted to create something unique,” says Dr. Hakim. “I had several ideas: an aquarium, a rain forest, a spaceship…. but when I saw the incredible panoramic view of the L.A. skyline this location offered, I realized the spaceship was the way to go.”

Dr. Hakim worked with Interior Designer, Ron Simmons, to create his spectacular office space. Fortunately for his patients, this isn’t the only thing that makes him unique. If you live in the L.A. area, check out his website at www.orthospaceship.com.
