African tribe-inspired designs light up under blacklight during Kendrick Lamar’s performance at the Grammys.

Kendrick Lamar, nominated for 11 Grammys and winning 5, gave a spectacular performance at the recent Grammys ceremony.

We’re particularly excited because we provided the paint for the most spectacular part of the show. Here’s how it went down…

Lamar appears on stage as part of a prison chain gang shuffling up to the microphone. After delivering the intro for his song, “The Blacker The Berry,” the lights suddenly shut off, UV lights are switched on, and the dance team lights up with African Surma and Mursi tribe-inspired designs painted on their prison uniforms.
