The “Clark Griswold of Halloween” Lights Up Neighborhood In Spectacular Display

(For those too young [or too old] to remember, the 1989 comedy classic, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, featured Clark Griswold [Chevy Chase] who LOVED Christmas and let the whole neighborhood know it with his spectacular Christmas decorations.)

Tony Zoccoli and family of Gilbert, AZ have made a tradition of creating a spectacular Halloween display in their front yard that attracts thousands of on-lookers each year.

“Our family LOVES Halloween,” said Griswo–er, Zoccoli, “We prepare months in advance.”

The entire Zoccoli family spent 3 months drawing, cutting, and painting (using Wildfire Luminescent Paint) the characters which would adorn their yard for Halloween.

“Our theme is A Nightmare Before Christmas with a splash of Alice in Wonderland,” Zoccoli continued. “My 21 year old autistic daughter loves those films, and we do this every year for her. We tie them all together with my oldest son costumed as a dark Mad Hatter with a splash of Jack Skellington. It has become very big in these years.”

Indeed it has. Even we can’t help but be impressed by the scope of the display.

“People ask how we do it, and what do we use,” added Zoccoli. “We used regular fluorescent paints last year with ChromaDepth glasses that we hand out, but once we found the Wildfire Paints, everything is so much more vivid, both during the day and night.”

The display is live all week at 4080 E. Lafayette Ave., Gilbert, AZ 85298.
